    Job description

Three Points recently partnered with an exciting tech company that provides cross-device technology to improve digital advertising and user analytics, who are looking to add an experienced System Admin & Security Specialist to their team.

The team uses deterministic and probabilistic methods, including proprietary algorithms and machine learning technology, to identify users across channels and devices (such as tablets, laptops, desktops, smartphones, smartwatches, or other wearables) with a high degree of accuracy. This allows them to match all devices used by one individual to that specific user or even household, build deep and broad user profiles, and predict their purchase behavior. As a result, their technology helps advertisers reach their target audience more accurately and efficiently by connecting various data points to create a unified view of consumer interactions across devices.

It’s a fantastic opportunity to dive deeper into advanced technologies, using the company's Machine Learning algorithm to analyze dozens of terabytes of data daily and predict device profiles for hundreds of millions of people. You will collaborate with a team of seven highly experienced engineers with backgrounds in machine learning, AI, data engineering, and low-level system design.

Wider tech stack: Scala, Clojure, AWS, Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, Redis, Avro, Apache Parquet, Hadoop, Akka, Linux.

With a high degree of responsibility, you’ll play an active role in helping shape this large digital advertising market in Europe and the wider future of the company.

    Your responsibilities:

    • Configure, maintain and update hundreds of servers in our client’s clusters
    • Help to design and implement scalable and highly available systems
    • Ensure uninterrupted working of the administered systems
    • Support developers with your operating system knowledge
    • Automate boring parts of systems’ administration
    • Care of the company infrastructure’s security
    • Document and collaborate in WIKI, JIRA & GitHub.

    You must have the following:

    • Problem solving attitude and love for automating things
    • Understanding of Linux operating system on an advanced level
    • Practical experience with AWS
    • Practical knowledge of bash, Python, Go or other scripting language
    • Practical experience with Chef, Puppet or Ansible
    • Ability to rapidly learn new technologies
    • Knowledge of REST architectural style and HTTP protocol
    • English (read and write documentation)

Optional, but works in your favor:

    • Knowledge of the following technologies: Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, Redis, Avro, Apache Parquet, Hadoop, Akka, Spray, JavaScript, Kubernetes
    • Experience in non-blocking asynchronous architectures
    • Deep understanding of JVM (memory management and garbage collection, Java memory model, concurrency, etc.)

    The offer:

    • Work with an extremely motivated and skilled team of top performers
    • A competitive salary (DOE between 30,000 - 40,000 PLN / month B2B)
    • Hardware and software of your choice (laptop machine with Linux, OSX or Windows, external monitor, IntelliJ IDEA, etc.)
    • Conference budget
    • Company team building retreats in attractive locations

Please note that you'll need to be able to meet with the team once a month in Poznan, Poland for sprint planning.
