About your team
We’re part of the Text Platform. Our vision is to empower customers by providing seamless integration with Text APIs. We have developed the Text.com Marketplace, where customers can purchase applications that extend our core products. We also support developers in building apps. Additionally, we are enhancing our API usage for developers and recently created Workflows, a groundbreaking product designed to simplify and automate everyday tasks without any coding.
What does our team do? We’re the people behind the Text Developer Program. We create tools for software developers who want to sell apps on our Marketplace. We help them build and monetize their applications. Some tools include app monitoring services or monetization and distribution services.
Our team consists of two frontend developers, a backend developer, a designer, a QA engineer, and a Product Manager.
Our way of working is inspired by ShapeUp, although we don’t follow it religiously. It might sound cliche, but we do try to be agile — we believe that done is better than perfect.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Maintain our primary Golang service, which powers the Developer Console and the entire Developer Program ecosystem;
- Migrate suboptimal functionalities from the main service to a new service to enhance efficiency and the developer experience;
- Build and scale new backend services and APIs that empower external developers to create and optimize their own applications;
- Take ownership of and lead technical projects from ideation and requirements gathering to final delivery and deployment;
- Participate in team meetings — although they are infrequent, we occasionally meet to brainstorm new features and shape projects;
- Collaborate closely with your team and other backend developers across Platform teams to create seamless, integrated solutions.
Our ideal candidate:
- Has over four years of experience in backend development, with at least two years of experience in Go, allowing you to excel in creating scalable, high-performance products;
- Has experience with MySQL databases — ElasticSearch is a plus;
- Has experience with migration processes and designing systems from scratch;
- Is curious and a natural problem-solver, thrives in complex environments, and is eager to dive into the details to find the best solutions;
- Is ownership-driven, takes full responsibility for projects, seeing them through from start to finish with a focus on delivering results;
- Exhibits a can-do attitude and a willingness to innovate. Challenges don’t discourage you from proactively seeking solutions rather than focusing on the complexity of the project;
- Has great communication skills. We’re an interdisciplinary team. Your teammates will be professionals of various crafts, and you’ll have to find a common language with them.
The way we work:
We have implemented a hybrid workplace, in which our team in Wrocław and nearby (up to 50 km) follows a 3/2 model: three days in the office to foster creativity, teamwork, and social interaction, and two days working from home.
If you’re based outside of Wrocław, you'll work in the office for three days each month to maintain valuable face-to-face connections, while continuing to contribute significantly to product development remotely.
