Database Reliability Engineer

We are currently seeking a talented Database Reliability Engineer to join the client's new R&D team in Warsaw, Poland. This role offers a unique chance to tackle engineering challenges at an immense scale, with millions of tables in vast databases—problems that have never been solved before, not even by companies like Google.

The team in Warsaw is focused on the core product, working closely with the top 2% of engineers, and there’s plenty of opportunity to make a significant impact. 

Offers compensation based on the Silicon Valley pay model, which ranges from 36 000 PLN to 60 000 PLN total compensation per month. This amount includes a fixed base salary of 25 000 PLN to 38 000, bonuses, and company shares.

THE REQUIREMENTS:

• at least 4 years of experience with performance optimization and scaling out of many data records 
• experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL databases
• understanding databases at the architectural level
• experience in ensuring the performance, scalability and reliability of databases
• experience with applications with large data clusters
• ideally experience gained in a product company (saas/web)
• R&D background
• experience in leading projects, POCing different technologies and rolling out new solutions to the production environment
• great skills of seeing a big picture and system architecture planning
• fluency in English
