You will be part of cross-functional international agile team which will develop core components for our Mobile and Fixed Access Networks. This involves designing, building, and testing clouds for all of the Deutsche Telekom ecosystem. 

What will you do?

As a Cloud Architect you will be responsible for the development of architectural concepts/-structures, optimization and harmonization of architecture and solution. 

• You will create well informed cloud strategies and help ensure the adoption of them.
• Regularly evaluate the latest trends and technologies in the cloud ecosystem and surrounding areas.
• Actively work with the cloud teams from the different countries that Deutsche Telekom operates in.
• Coordinate with senior management to ensure understanding and acceptance of the new technologies.
• Work with all of the modern cloud vendors and have the opportunity to interact with their engineering teams.
• Design private and public cloud infrastructure for Telekom services in area of Mobile Access and Mobile Core
• Identify the top architecture solutions that will successfully advance the strategy of Deutsche Telekom.

What about you ?

• You have university degree in electrical engineering, communications engineering, or informatics/computer science
• Several years of experience in design of IT/Telco systems, and frameworks in Telecommunications.
• A high degree of conceptual, analytical and methodical skills
• Excellent command of written and spoken business English and inter-cultural skills
• Experience with implementation and deployment of enterprise grade cloud systems (preferable in Telco environment)
• Professional experience with Infrastructure automation landscape (e.g. python, Git, TerraForm, Ansible, Bash, Jenkins) in production environment. Experience with Infrastructure-As-Code best practices and patterns, and with building highly automated infrastructure.
• Software development life cycle methodologies.
• Understanding of Microservices architecture patterns, best-practices, and guidelines.
• Knowledge of IP, networking, and SDN.
• Experience with 4G/5G architectures, wireless/wireline infrastructures, and Network Function Virtualization (NFV).
• Working experience with modern cloud-native technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, Istio, Prometheus) and cloud operating systems (e.g. OpenStack, VMWare). Understanding of Hyperscaler cloud infrastructures (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), Multi-cloud and cloud orchestration technologies
