Responsibilities:
- Creating reusable, effective, and scalable infrastructure code on AWS using one of: Terraform/Terragrunt, AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK
- Acting as a moderator between teams (both in IT and outside of IT) and AWS Development Team to migrate applications to AWS
- Mentoring developers, through discussions, presentations, programming, to demonstrate best practices in developing highly available and flexible application infrastructure in AWS
- Understanding existing AWS infrastructure and stack in order to employ best AWS solutions
What do you bring?
- At least 3 years hands-on full-time AWS experience
- Deep understanding of core AWS services and AWS architecture best practices (e.g. S3, EC2, Lambda, Glacier, SNS, EBS, CloudFront, SQS, VPC, EKS, Fargate and Elastic Beanstalk, etc.)
- Terraform/Terragrunt or CloudFormation
- Understanding of AWS security best practices (e.g. IAM roles, KMS, security groups etc.)
- Some networking know-how (you don’t have to be a Cisco guru J)
- Linux administration skills: you can use it (with uncle Google’s help) without messing anything up, you understand bash and are able to use it, but you don’t have to be a Linux guru
- 2+ years Kubernetes & Docker experience, EKS experience is a nice to have
- Some programming or scripting experience in your language of choice
