As the Innovation Tribe we are looking for a DevOps Engineer who would like to build with us innovative IoT environment for market breaking products.
We do not want to be ordinary, we want to be bold and set the trends in IoT world leveraging the strength of our own, our partners and Deutsche Telekom Group. We do not want to be just a reseller or connectivity provider, we’d like to propose disruptive & remarkable products with added values by using all the information that can be collected from IoT devices with combination of any other data sources. 5G and Industry 4.0 are the future – help us to build the integrated future.
What do we expect from you:
Your contribution in something big by:
- Understanding of IoT environment including connectivity, SIM/device managing platforms, analytical platforms to be able to handle E2E processes ensuring the best quality products delivery to our customers;
- Taking part and facilitation of team activities in continuous deployment, continuous integration, and rapid delivery across value streams, as well as in configuration and setup of various systems and network and/or deployment and scaling of cloud systems;
- Collaboration skills to work on creation, implementation and maintaining of various tools and solutions with partners/DT Group teams or cloud providers;
- Fostering self-service and efficiency wherever possible, automating the processes of provisioning and maintaining continuous integration environments, integration/QA testing, security & configuration;
- E2E view on product from development & operation perspective with inner responsibility and ownership that will allow to ensure availability, scalability, maintainability, monitoring of systems;
- Exceptional problem solving skills – we need your creativity and tenacity in cracking the problem and finding a solution to it;
- Continuous improvement approach – as there is always room for improvement and development;
- Market knowledge – competition products, market expectations and potential to be focused on what’s the most important for customers;

- Experience or at least willingness to work in agile/scrum – as we built the culture on our side right now;
- And last but not least - MSc or Bachelor’s degree in the subject matter area (Telco/IT/other related).

Technical skills that we require:
- 3+ years’ experience in the Ops / DevOps environment;
- Know-how in the area of M2M/IoT (e.g. MQTT, Raspberry Pie, automation, sensors);
- Good knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems - knowledge of bash commands;
- Know-how in infrastructure and virtualization;
- Work experience with Cloud solutions (incl. public clouds, preferably AWS/Azure) and virtual environments (OpenCloud, Kubernetes, microservices) – will be an asset;
- Good knowledge of network protocols and technologies especially TCP/IP, HTTP, SOAP, REST, XML;
- Experience with network testing tools such as Wireshark, Postman, SoapUI;
- Solid know-how about mobile networks (from 2G to 5G) with focus on architecture, features and protocols;
- Monitoring, logging and configuration of services / NoSQL databases / SQL databases;
- Work experience with Frontend (HTML, Javascript) and Backend (DBs and scripting) solutions (nice to have);
- Familiar with Big Data solutions, data aggregation and visualization (nice to have);
- Enthusiasm and affinity for automation.
Other skills:
- Written & spoken English (at least B2);
- Ability to work in a divers team and collaboration in international environment.
