Cloud DevOps Engineer

For our client we’re looking for a Cloud DevOps Engineer. Our 1st priority is to service our customers’ day-to-day requirements and deliver first-class services. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, create, and maintain Azure YAML pipelines for CI/CD processes.
• Implement Quality Gates (QGs) to ensure the quality and reliability of the code deployed.
• Utilize Git and follow SCM best practices to manage code repositories effectively.
• Set up required infrastructure on Azure as per the Engineering team’s requirements.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using ARM or Terraform and integrate it into Azure pipelines.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot applications in Kubernetes.
• Utilize advanced Kubernetes features like pod scheduling, limit ranges, and ingress controllers.
• Write scripts to automate frequent tasks and integrate these scripts into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Use scripting languages, preferably Bash or Python, for automation.
• Understand application functioning and its interactions with other services to troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Ensure smooth registration and interaction of applications with Azure Active Directory (AAD).
• Grasp the concepts of data and event flow within the system.
• Apply release and deployment methodologies.
• Implement and manage DevSecOps tools and deployment strategies.
• Develop and manage Azure YAML-based templates.
• Manage Azure services such as Keyvault, App Service, Application Gateway, APIM, and Cosmos DB.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proficient in Azure DevOps and creating Azure YAML pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD concepts and deployment strategies.
• Hands-on experience with Git and SCM best practices.
• Advanced expertise in Kubernetes, including troubleshooting and managing complex scenarios.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration.
• Proficient in infrastructure provisioning tools like ARM or Terraform.
• Knowledge of scripting languages, preferably Bash or Python.
• Familiarity with Azure services such as Keyvault, App Service, Application Gateway, APIM, and Cosmos DB.
• Understanding of networking and infrastructure provisioning on Azure.
• Knowledge of data and event flow concepts.
• Additional knowledge in Machine Learning and Lightbend Cloudflow is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications in Azure or Kubernetes.
• Experience with DevSecOps tools.
• Understanding of branching strategies and release management.
