Now we are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join a fast-growing, talented team in Kraków. Our backend team uses Scala, Kafka, ElasticSearch, Scylla/Casandra, Azure, Kubernetes, our colleagues from the Frontend Team use JavaScript (React.js), ES6, Redux, TypeScript, Webpack. Both teams are supported by the QA Team. We like to experiment and we have the environment to do it. We work on the borderline of science and technology creating outstanding solutions. - allows for the aggregation of large data sets on customer behavior in broadly understood commerce (offline and online)
- is based on artificial intelligence, semantic web, predictive analysis, machine learning and marketing automation
- enables data processing and sending recommendations in real time (RT - real time)
- is reliable and scalable
- processes up to 120 million events per day (monthly> 1.5 billion), receiving up to 3,000 request per second
- uses architecture is based on microservices
- shows dynamic, personalized content from 50 to 200 milliseconds

Responsibilities include:
- taking part in creating and maintaining the IT infrastructure
- monitoring, ensuring the safety of the infrastructure and continuity of its actions
- deploying the application for staging and production environment, implementation of Continuous Delivery mechanisms
- providing tools for developers that help to increase the effectiveness of the team's work
- participation in designing, implementing and developing solutions for application security
- ensuring quick detection and handling of any incidents, service of critical situations for platform stability
- participation in the analysis and prevention of risks and creating policies and procedures related to IT infrastructure
- cooperation with: developers (devops), Products Owner, Scrum Master and analysts, testers and industry experts
- supervising external suppliers (virtual servers and SysOps services)
Expectations for candidates:
- very good knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu CENTOS Debian)
- experience (at least 3 years) in virtualized server infrastructure management (based on the Linux environment)
- knowledge of MS Azure or AWS (at least in the field of Linux Virtual Servers, disks manageable and network services)
- good knowledge of at least one of the following automation tools: Ansible, Puppet, Salt, Terraform
- knowledge of Kubernetes
- experience in working with high-traffic and high-availability systems
- good knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g. ELK, Grafana, InfluxDB, Prometheus)
- the ability to install and configure applications such as: Apache, Nginx, MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL, HAProxy, …, in Linux environment
- knowledge of at least one of the following languages: Bash, Python, Go
- experience in deployment and solving problems the applications in the following languages: Java, Scala, Python, PHP, Go
Your assets
- knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, HBase, Kafka, Spark, ...)
- familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft o36
