Senior Java/Kotlin engineer in Fintech startup

Syberry is the technology partner for a U.S.-based capital management company, and we are establishing an engineering center in Europe for them. The team is building the technology platform to run the company. This is a greenfield development project utilizing Python, Kotlin, React, and AWS as the primary tech stack.

We are seeking a Senior Java/Kotlin Engineer to develop a financial platform for investments managers that will enable the analysis of financial data and facilitating informed decision-making based on this analysis. All the services that this team creates from scratch and evolves are engineered in Kotlin.

About you: 

• Experience with Kotlin and readiness to work with this language: We don’t use Java, and we expect at least 3 months of experience in working with Kotlin.
• Readiness to learn Python and work with this language: our system is developed using both Python and Kotlin. That's why we expect your readiness to work both with Python and Kotlin.
• Strong engineering experience (we mean it): we believe at least 5 years of software engineering is a good predictor (however, you can challenge this belief).
• Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Fluent English: for daily communication with native speakers from the U.S. 
• Availability until 7 PM CET: our product team and end users operate in the Eastern Time Zone, so we need an overlap for effective collaboration. Still, we expect 8h of work daily, so you could start later or have breaks.
