Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer for a full-time position in Poland.
Our American client is developing a leading enterprise decision intelligence platform for delivering business value from analytics. They automatically sense business opportunities and risks from existing data and AI models and recommend optimal decisions.
We’re seeking a sharp, self-motivated, and experienced DevOps Engineer to join their team and oversee a wide variety of projects from planning through implementation. As part of the core development team, you will work closely with delivery, data science, development operations engineers and software developers on a cutting-edge technology platform and bring your expertise to continuously evolve their framework.
* This position will require working overlap till 1 PM EST (7 PM PL time).

Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
- 10 + years of experience in an Engineering or Information Technology role.
- Proven background in AWS, Kubernetes and microservices.
- Expertise in Bash, SQL, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools.
- A good grasp of Source Code Management tools (Git, BitBucket) and a deep understanding of branching/integration processes.
- Solid knowledge of coding and scripting.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology (IT) or related field.
- Upper-intermediate English.
Nice to have:
- Certification and working experience with AWS and/or Azure Cloud.
- Expertise in Nexus, Istio and Bitbucket Pipelines.
- Experience with memory databases (for example MongoDB).
- Expertise in Scala build tool (SBT) and Scala application deployments.
- Knowledge of Akka, Play and Lagom.
Responsibilities:
- Architect, design and support continuous integration and delivery pipeline.
- Drive technical innovation and efficiency in cloud infrastructure operations via automation.
- Create and perform zero-downtime to accomplish highly available service (99.99%).
- Design and implement disaster recovery (DR) between the different regions of cloud datacenters.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues, including performance and function issues.
- Cooperate with a cloud vendor, infrastructure, the engineering team for security and service availability.
- Provide the CI/CD model to deploy and configure the production system while ensuring they are secure, scalable, monitored, and backed up.
- Support development teams in deploying and investigating to fix issues.
- Establish and document processes around infrastructure and deployments.
- Build, maintain and work with an infrastructure and upgrade roadmap.
- Communicate effectively and appropriately on plans, updates and risks.
