Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Middle Scala Engineer for a full-time position in Poland.
Our client is a specialist in software architecture and software development located in Berlin and Wroclaw. They build scalable architectures for the integration of distributed data, devices, processes and help their customers to optimize and automate their development environments. The main goal of the project is to diagnose and check the quality of Internet access via cable and DOCSIS systems, to manage 4 million modems for the german telecommunication company. The application receives statistics about the connection, the quality of the connection, the frequencies, etc.
Project tech stack: Scala, Scala Cats, Haskell, Akka, JVM, DOCSIS 3.0.3.1., DNS and DHCP protocols, SNMP protocol, IPDR protocol, Pulumi.

Requirements:
- 1 - 3 years of working with Scala.
- Knowledge of SQL database.
- Experience in testing.
- Familiarity with JVM.
- Experience in code review.
- Upper-intermediate English.
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with protocols (DNS, DHCP, SNMP, IPDR protocols).
- Knowledge of libraries Scala Cats, Haskell, Akka.
- Understanding of Kanban Methodology.
- Familiarity with DOCSIS 3.0.3.1.
Responsibilities:
- Cooperate with the client.
- Design & develop the product.
- Implement new features, bug fixes and tests.
- Take care of the solution through the whole development cycle from ideas to running in production.
- Learn and share knowledge through code review, pair programming and workshops.
- Develop the team's toolset.
