Java Backend Developer

The chemical industry in Europe suffers from a tremendous load of regulations and a bad guy image of being the one who pollutes our environment. It is about time to change this! Then we are fed up with opaque supply chains and missing product information. We are fed up with spending hours, weeks, and years gathering product safety-specific information, such as the potential hazard of a product and why the supplier comes to this communicated hazard classification.

That is why we started to engage in doing the first step: bringing the old-world manual data (paper, pdfs, ...) to digital to become the hub of product-safety-related information. We digitize the most critical data carrier's relevant section, the so-called safety data sheet (short SDS). According to the UN and the local governments' current laws, we are validating it through the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals, short GHS.

We need for our SCRUM team senior backend and senior front end developers. We expect you to work remotely (as soon as the corona pandemic is getting less critical, we offer you to join our office in Wroclaw). We expect you to have more than 6 years of experience in web application development (JAVA Spring, AWS, react frontend, PostgreSQL DBs, Dockers, ...), to be fluent in English (company language). We are looking for open-minded and committed developers who share our passion for digital chemistry and who help us launch the Sustragil App in one of the world's biggest chemical companies in Q4/2021.
