Job description

Supergreat is a beauty community where everyone’s an expert on the products that work for them; a platform that makes it fun for beauty enthusiasts to discuss and create video reviews, share their beauty routines, and discover new products from people they relate to. You can find Supergreat in the App Store and on the web.

We're hiring our very first Product Manager who is exciting about deeply understanding our community and creating and refining a product experience that impacts our creators, shoppers, and brands, and helps us build the future of social commerce. You'll report directly to the Head of Engineering and be responsible for ensuring the Supergreat product creation has a tight feedback loop so that we are always working on the highest impact projects for our community.

Supergreat is a tight-knit team of 22 where people are excited about wearing multiple hats and tackling challenges they've never encountered before. We are backed by top investors including Benchmark, Thrive Capital, Third Kind, and angels including founders of Rent the Runway, Product Hunt, Thrive Market, and Tumblr.

In this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Working with engineers, designers, and the community team to build products that improve the product experience of using Supergreat across iOS, Android, and web
  • Using data and user interviews to identify areas of opportunity for the Supergreat product, and making difficult decisions to create relative prioritization for limited resources
  • Crafting specifications for product initiatives with clear timelines and resource requirements, with goals closely tied to the company's KPIs around retention, engagement, sharing, and shopping
  • Closing the product feedback loop with clearly defined methods of determining success for each product initiative, using data to confirm or negate hypotheses and delivering that information to the team

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is passionate about product loops and thinking at the system-level to predict how our user experiences create or remove incentives for behavior that accrues value to our platform
  • Is familiar with consumer social behavior and can adapt traditional social patterns to a social commerce product environment
  • Has 4+ years experience building software products
  • Is excited about working at a growing startup where they'll have a lot of agency

Projects you may work on in the next six months:

  • Creating product features to connect our creators and their audiences to encourage engagement and shopping in our live-streaming shows
  • Working to improve Supergreat's home feed, both so that recommendations are more personalized / relevant and so that content is surfaced in the most engaging format possible
  • Leverage Supergreat's achievement system and coin economy to encourage more users to get involved with key network actions

What it's like to work at Supergreat:

At Supergreat, we offer our team competitive compensation including equity in the company. PTO is unlimited, with paid holidays and a flexible work schedule. We offer 16 weeks paid parental leave. We also offer comprehensive health benefits.

Prior to COVID, we largely worked from a beautiful office space in Tribeca, NYC and enjoyed company outings, happy hours, and weekly team lunches together. Since the crisis, we've adapted to working remotely and are now distributed across the US and Europe. We realize that the future of physical work is unclear and that our team values flexibility – with that in mind, we'll continue to hire remotely going forward.

We're looking for candidates who are dedicated to creating systems and applications that are inclusive of everyone who loves beauty, so candidates who identify with traditionally marginalized communities are highly encouraged to apply.
