The main function for this position is to lead the Server team ensuring all project, maintenance and support work is performed effectively resulting in high-quality deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain Windows/Linux/Unix/VMware server and host infrastructure with needed tools to ensure a stable environment
- Support and maintain storage infrastructure
- Manage designated ITIL processes within the team
- Deliver ad-hoc infrastructure for the projects
- Provide services support for all internal and external functions within the server team area
- Co-ordinate and manage the day to day activities of the team by monitoring and managing the distribution of the daily workload evenly across all team members
- Create and/or implement capacity management and reporting mechanism
- Take on responsibility for ITIL process with 3rd party vendors
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the Windows/Linux environment.
- Several years of management experience
- Enthusiastic, outgoing team player who wants a career in IT.
- Highly energized self-starter constantly focused on Continuous Improvement.
- Willingness to take ownership and responsibility
- Good communication skills, primarily in English as a working language
