Job description
- Creation and maintenance of architecture documentation for the designated subsystem (IoT platform)
- Design of new features and further development of existing features (IoT platform)
- Analysis of requirements of the product management department and the tPO (technical product owner)
- Creation of concepts/blueprints for the features prioritized by the tPO
- Creation of concepts for the technical requirements for the designated subsystem
- Definition and strategic alignment of the IoT platform together with the tPO
- Responsible for monitoring, testing and improving the performance of the designated subsystem
- Responsibility for other non-functional aspects of the subsystem such as availability, reliability, resilience, and security
- Continuous modernization of the designated subsystem (IoT platform) in the form of technology assessments and analyses
- Participation in the architecture community of practice and collaboration with the system architects from the customer side
- Creation, presentation, and support of architectural decisions
Key skills
- IoT Best Practices and Architectures
- IoT Security Best Practices and Architectures covering the communication path between IoT Device and Backend
- Very good knowledge and experience in cloud architectures and with specific CSP/cloud providers, especially Azure
- Very good knowledge and experience with DevOps practices and technologies (CI/CD, Observability, Automation, IaC, Containerisation)
- Very good knowledge and experience with K8S/AKS and GitOps (ArgoCD)
- Very good knowledge and experience with microservice, event-oriented and asynchronous architectures
- Very good knowledge and experience with the documentation of architectures – concrete experience with arc42 would be desirable
- Very good knowledge and experience with facilitating meetings and decision-making processes with many stakeholders
