Job description

Project Description

We are looking for a 2nd Line Support Specialist to support an ERP purchasing software system that covers the full process chain - from customer inquiries and materials management through procurement and production to outgoing invoicing. You will play a key role in ensuring system stability, resolving incidents, and supporting business users in a production-critical environment.

System support hours are 08:00 a.m. – 04:00 p.m.


Technical Environment

  • Rich Client Application Server (V9, Windows)

  • Oracle Database

  • Java / Groovy


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 2nd line support for the ERP purchasing system across all related business processes

  • Handle and resolve incidents in a timely and efficient manner

  • Resolve service requests and user queries

  • Ensure incidents are resolved as quickly as possible in line with service expectations

  • Provide operational support during system releases

  • Prepare and document change requests

  • Escalate development-related tickets to developers when required

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure system reliability and performance


Requirements

  • Fluent German (spoken and written)

  • Advanced English skills

  • Strong customer and service orientation

  • Excellent problem-solving mindset

  • Reliable, honest, and team-oriented working style

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of issues

  • Basic knowledge of Java


Desirable Experience & Certifications

  • Experience with ERP applications

  • Experience with Oracle databases

  • ITIL certification is an advantage
