We are looking for Senior Java Developers to join Sopra Steria Apps Services team that is developing mission-critical software solutions for the Public & Health Sector across Europe. We are proud to say that our work is supporting our client to ensure safety within Europe and strengthening the cooperation between all countries.
Our development team is in Poland.
Mission/activities:
Evolutions and maintenance of a portfolio of 20+ Java-based software applications.
Evolutions is around 70% of the activity, and 30 % support (L3 support during Business Hours only) and maintenance.

- Implement solutions and deliver high quality software based on Java
- Create, maintain and test software to enhance the solution and all related modules and services
- Review and improve our continuous integration and deployment
- Shape and apply our software standards of clean code and proven optimization techniques
- Help to define requirements, create software designs and translate them into code
- Provide thorough unit testing and support our QA team in fixing development issues
- Application documentation
- Application Maintenance and Support Services (incidents, defects, functional and technical enhancements)
- Monitoring, Reporting and Review (application health checks; tracking of specific incidents, status reporting)

Must have:
- Bachelor’s degree + 12 years of experience as developer or Master’s degree + 8 years of experience as developer
- Experience in Java-based application development
- Knowledge of Spring/Hibernate
- Knowledge of relational data bases
- Agile experience
- General IT background
- Good organizational and problem-solving skills
- Services work experience (support/maintenance)
- Experience in working with legacy code
- Fluent English: B2/C1
- EU citizenship
- Being open to occasional business trips abroad and visits in our office in Katowice
