Job description

Online interview
About the company
We are a Polish software development agency specializing in the newest, cutting edge technologies, working mostly with startups from all over the world, but mainly the USA. We don't specialize in one particular industry, so if you're looking for diversity, we can ensure it.

Recently, we have created a QA Team that consists of two specialists, but due to a lot of projects and space for implementation and improvement in terms of QA, we would like to hire another one.

About the project
We might start our cooperation by working on a project for an American company specialized in the healthcare sector. We are working on this mobile app comprehensively, beginning with UX/UI and business design needs carried out by our Design Team, through development implemented by our engineers (they mainly use: React Native leveraging JSI, AppCenter, AWS, and Okta). Only QA is missing to have a complete set. You will cooperate with all of them and be a part of this team.

The other of our projects and Clients you can check on our website (Our Services page) or Clutch. We will also be happy to tell you more details during the interview.

About the position
We are looking for a person who will become a part of our on-site team that includes engineers, UX, and a Project Manager. Above all, you will cooperate with our engineers and help them with ensuring the quality of the software. This can include testing the app, developing and maintaining QA processes, and possibly using or developing tools to automate and improve those processes.

We will give you a freedom of action within the team, so we expect you to be an independent, meticulous, and detail-oriented individual. It is important to us that you understand the role of QA within the software development process well. We require you to have some experience in a similar position as well. It would also be helpful if you had some experience in at least one project where you were the main person responsible for QA.

Above all, we require from you:
  • good communication skills (in English as well) – you will be closely cooperating with the whole team: engineers, PM, UX and to some degree the client. Your daily tasks will require communication mostly with our local team, but some things will be discussed directly with the client,
  • independence – you have to organize your own work. You will be responsible for taking care of quality assurance procedures (choosing tools, analyzing data, being involved in the release, etc.),
  • good analytical skills – you will work with complex business requirements, and you should be able to help the development team with ensuring the quality of the software we create,
  • precision, and attention to detail – you will execute manual tests and report bugs to software engineers.

It would be great if you will possess additional assets such as:
  • experience with writing automatic E2E scripts, using tools such as Cypress or Selenium,
  • knowledge of at least one programming language.

Perks and benefits:
  • training budget – you decide what to spend it on: trainings, books, English lessons, conferences,
  • a fridge full of food – sandwiches, cereals, yoghurts, fruits and vegetables – all available in our kitchen,
  • sports card – possibility to obtain an OK System sports card,
  • private healthcare – get professional medical care for you and your family,
  • 26 days of paid vacation leave,
  • equipment of your choice – most modern stuff with MacOs or Linux on board,
  • chillout space – are you a fan of rocket league, VR, table soccer or billiard? Let's play! You can relax on the deck chair as well.
  • team events – get to know the company at monthly All Hands sessions accompanied by pizza, sushi & beer, connect with new coworkers over a game of Rocket League and forget about the office at seasonal parties! We organize and co-finance team integration in and outside of the office.

Currently, due to the pandemic situation, you can work 100% remotely. We hope, however, that in the (nearest) future we will be able to return to our office. At that point, you will enjoy flexible working hours and the possibility to work remotely from time to time.
