We are excited to announce an opening for a Big Data Engineer with a strong background in Scala, Java, and Spark to join our product team. This role is critical for developing and optimizing our Big Data processing capabilities and ensuring our data infrastructure scales effectively with our growth.

In this position, you will be responsible for:

✓ Designing, building, and maintaining scalable Big Data applications using Scala, Java, and Apache Spark, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.

✓ Working collaboratively with the Development team to integrate Big Data solutions into our broader technology stack, enhancing our ability to make data-driven decisions.

✓ Optimizing data retrieval, storage, and processing workflows to handle our increasing data volumes efficiently.

✓ Implementing best practices for Big Data security and privacy to comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

We also expect that you:

✓ Have at least 2 years of professional experience in Big Data engineering, with a proven track record of developing applications using Scala, Java, and Spark.

✓ Possess a deep understanding of Big Data technologies and the it's ecosystem, including HDFS, YARN, and Spark, as well as real-time processing frameworks such as Apache Flink.

✓ Be proficient in programming languages relevant to data engineering, such as Java, Scala, or Python.

✓ Demonstrate experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) in managing and deploying Hadoop clusters.

✓ Be familiar with Agile methodologies, capable of adapting to changing requirements and priorities swiftly.
