Ströer Media Brands is a growing digital media house. We create and distribute premium text and video content for influencers and digital natives. Our distribution channels are the web, mobile, social media and Digital-Out-Of-Home (Public Video). We are representing brands such as GIGA.de, Kino.de, Spieletipps.de, SpielAffe.de and Desired.de. Our content reaches more than 25 million unique users monthly.
Currently, we are looking for a candidate for the position of:
Senior PHP Developer
Workplace: Fully remote
Job description:
This is a remote position. We have functional teams of senior developers. Every day, they build and extend our web "Platform". You will join ~10 polish developers already working remotely with us, and an additional 15 from Germany/Croatia.
You will start your day around 7~9am by checking emails and Slack. Attend daily huddles with the Scrum team. Will develop our web portals with YouTrack tasks you are assigned (tasks come from PM, SEO, Sales, etc). Within Zen-mode time between 10 am and 1 pm you can do your work without any interruptions, while between 1 pm and 3 pm, meetings are allowed. Your Scrum team is organized around 2 week-long sprints. You will have meetings like huddle, refinement, retro, and planning. Additionally, you will grow by having a 1on1 and "performance review" meetings every quarter with your team lead. You will also join cyber security meetings once a month, and also Backend Club meetings to expand your knowledge. Few days of Hackaton once per year, and a company party twice a year. All this to get things moving and excited same time.
Your team will have strong Agile values built in. With them, you can win and fail-learn as a whole. You will be able to communicate with them every day with communication software: Google Meet and Slack. With your Scrum team, you will talk in Polish. With other teams or departments, you will talk in English.

Essential Skills:
- 4+ years experience in PHP developer position
- Fluent in PHP7, SQL, JS
- Knowledge of Git
- Strong communication skills (English) and team work (Agile!)
- Own computer
Nice to have, but not required (we will support you so you can catch up):

- Experience in profiling / xdebug
