Senior Data Engineer (f/m/x)

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join a team that delivers data-driven insights across key business areas. In this role, you will work with diverse and high-volume data sources, helping transform raw data into meaningful models and visualisations that support business decisions.

The project involves processing data from multiple domains, including transactional systems, in-store traffic (including camera-based analytics), autonomous stores, web purchases, loyalty programs, and marketing campaigns.

The current technology stack includes Databricks and Power BI on Azure, with an ongoing migration to Snowflake on Azure, aiming for full transition by 2027.

Your tasks

• Design and develop conceptual and logical data models

• Translate business requirements into robust data solutions

• Work with large datasets from multiple source systems

• Build and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines

• Perform data transformations and ensure data quality

• Create reports and dashboards using Power BI

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders and analysts

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in data-related positions

• Strong proficiency in SQL (advanced level)

• Solid experience with Python

• Hands-on experience with Power BI

• Experience working with Snowflake

• Strong understanding of data modelling techniques, including Star and Snowflake schema, normalisation, and dimensional modelling

• Experience working with large-scale data environments

• Very good communication skills in both English and Polish

• Residing in Poland required

Nice-to-have requirements

• Experience with Databricks and Azure ecosystem

• Familiarity with data from retail, IoT, or customer analytics domains
