Locally, we are working in Krakow in an engineering team of 30 members, doing great things. Solving complex e-commerce problems to build the best experience for our customers needs top-notch talent. From a technical point of view, we are a group of smart people, who are sensitive team players with a huge hunger for knowledge and skills.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Manage an engineering team(s) practicing Scrum as part of a 2-week sprint
- Lead a team of highly talented engineers - taking care of their well-being and growth
- Analyze and evaluate existing technologies in order to plan and lead architectural improvements
- Work closely with Product Manager and Technical Lead(s) to plan integration with external partners, development of new systems, and lead architectural improvements in existing ones
- Drive technology and architecture decisions across the organization, while managing a high performing engineering team
- Shape the culture of the organization by being a champion of software engineering best practices.
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE TO START ON THIS ROLE:
- 5+ years experience as a software engineer; 3+ years experience as a leader in at least 2 organizations
- Hands-on engineering experience and regularly updated tech skills
- Experience scoping out high-level engineering and product initiatives in order to facilitate team level planning and prioritization
- Experience breaking down large, complex features into functionality that can be delivered incrementally in order to provide consistent value as part of a 2-week sprint
- Experience communicating and convincing key stakeholders of technological change
- Knowledge of a variety of programming languages, such as TypeScript, Kotlin/Java, Python
- Expertise in key programming concepts like API design, relational mapping frameworks, distributed applications and optimization techniques
- Experience acting as a Scrum Master in order to guide an engineering team’s agile practice is a plus

- Salary compensation: 20-28k PLN gross on the employment contract
