    We are looking for an experienced Software Engineering Practice Lead responsible for managing the practice, which covers full P&L accountability, definition and implementation of business strategy and detailed the service portfolio.

    Key responsibilities include working with business unit, business development and marketing managers to acquire customers (supporting within marketing campaigns and pre-sale phase), delivery managers and engineering experts to ensure successful delivery (ensuring compliance with quality and margin assumptions, initiate up-selling and cross-selling activities and optimize the service portfolio).

    The role also requires defining skills, competencies and processes necessary to provide Software Engineering services, build and manage a practice team and develop partnerships.

    The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, experience in P&L management and the ability to effectively collaborate and manage diverse teams.


    Main responsibilities:


    • 1. Practice ManagementCreate and manage the business plan for the Practice that aligns with overall corporate objectives.
    • Creating and managing services offering for Practices focusing on customer value delivery.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to clients for conduct in-depth analysis of existing issues, needs in their business area which could be addressed by solutions based on software engineering and provide recommendations how to address them,
    • Participate in acquiring new customers as partner to Business Development Managers but also able to act on his/her own.
    • Develop current customers by up-selling and cross-selling Software Engineering services to them,
    • Define (and permanently improve) approach/methods to achieve desired results for practice services: tools, technologies, methodology, engineers skills and competencies, partnerships.
    • Service projects delivery to ensure achieving customer satisfaction connected with company goals for given project.
    • 2. Finance:Prepare annual budgets and ongoing service forecasts.
    • Supervise teams defining scope of projects, preparing estimates, measuring project profitability.
    • Develop key performance indicators used to measure and monitor team performance.
    • Strive to meet or exceed service revenue targets; maintain correct mix of resources to achieve desired gross margin.
    • 3. People:Provide strong leadership, coach and manage a team of Solution Architects, Tech Leaders and other experts who strive to deliver world-class Software Engineering solutions.
    • Promote open exchange of ideas and dialogue to maximize productivity and quality of solutions.
    • Facilitate cross-training and teamwork to support skills development and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Assign training requirements, certifications, exams required to support corporate status with vendors such as Microsoft.
    • Implement continuous feedback loop to provide performance goal setting, coaching and development.
    • Attract, develop and retain talented resources.


    Expectations:

    • proven commercial experience as Head/Leader of Software Engineering Practice or past experience as a Software Solution Architect with strong business acumen,

    • extensive IT experience that allows for a comprehensive understanding of the business problem and the establishment of a general action plan,

    • hands-on experience in projects related to software solutions

    • solid software development background (frontend, backend, mobile, Azure, AWS,...),

    • strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, communication, presentation and technical skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders,

    • possess problem-solving skills and passion for delivering high-quality technical solutions,

    • ability to manage and resolve complex and ambiguous issues and to work well both as part of a team and individually,

    • excellent oral and written communication skills in English connected with strong presentation skills.
