Job description

WHO WE ARE?

For 8 years, our international team of over 100 developers has been helping large and small companies (from FinTech, Blockchain, eCommerce sector) develop their IT projects. We helped customers like Kreditech, Bexio, Tapad, Qvantel, and Cryptonomic. We have a 5/5 score on Clutch - check it here.

For our clients, Scalac's teams are delivering exceptional tech skills, with a lot of empathy, as one of our customers said himself here.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to work for an external project for one of our European clients.

What we require:

  • Curiosity and passion about testing, having enjoyed testing for the last 4-5 years in the software development domain.
  • Proven track record in successfully conducting and creating QA tests in highly technical organizations, with hands-on experience with functional testing.
  • Experience with Web Testing, test automation, and API testing.
  • Experience with Cypress is a must
  • Experience with bug tracking, test management, test execution, defect reports through Test Management tools like Zephyr, TestRail.
  • Proactive in implementing tests when foreseeing possible bugs and errors.
  • Familiar with Agile/Scrum development environments like JIRA.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken

WHAT SALARY CAN YOU EXPECT?

  • 3500 - 5500 EUR net/month on B2B contract
It varies and depends on your experience and skills and grows alongside your skills. You can count on regular and open discussions. We take a transparent approach to that matter.

 WHAT IS A PROJECT ABOUT?

This is a very unique project connected with the observability platform built for the fast-changing container-based world. It is built on top of a one-of-a-kind "time-traveling topology" capability that tracks all dependencies, component lifecycles, and configuration changes in your environments over time. Our powerful 4T data model connects Topology with Telemetry and Traces across Time. If something happens, you can "rewind the movie" of your environment to see exactly what changed in your stack and what effects it has on downstream components.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

As a QA engineer, you will do much more than just testing! You will be an important part of the development team and help us deliver a product with both high technical and functional quality. Great communication skills are important as you will be working with developers, product owners, and other internal stakeholders. Your main responsibility is to ensure nothing goes untested and that all changes fulfill the functional and technical requirements.

On a daily basis, you’ll be validating user stories, identifying risks, helping replicate bugs reported, and supporting the development team and our product organization with various testing-related tasks.

  WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

  • 900 EUR net dedicated to your personalized development budget
  • 3 additional development days off
  • Holiday bonus (21 days, B2B)
  • National holidays bonus (depends on location, B2B)
  • 225 EUR net dedicated to language skills development (English)
  • Unlimited book budget
  • You choose the equipment you want to work at. We make sure it's the best one and update it regularly.

HOW WILL YOUR WORKING DAY LOOK LIKE?

  • Flexible work mode. Remote work. Imagine starting your workday when you are completely rested, no need to get up early because you have the possibility to choose your own working hours. You can work fully remotely or choose the hybrid model. You can go to the office or stay at home. We will gladly assist you in retrofitting your home office. You can also work from our beautiful office in Gdańsk or from a coworking space, which we can organize.
  • Unforgettable team meetings No comments at all. Join us and try!
  • Knowledge sharing Imagine, every day you sharpen your Scala skills by working alongside the best Scala Engineers from all over the world. You participate in knowledge-sharing sessions called Pizza Days or internal training like Scala 3 conducted by certified trainers. You can use our knowledge base full of interesting materials.
  • Individually tailored development path Together we will set your development path and meet regularly for 1on1 discussions, where you will receive and give feedback. As we highly value your development we'll give you a dedicated budget of 4000 PLN per year and a possibility to develop in many roles - as a mentor (eg. during Scalac Summer Camp), tech recruiter, speaker, writer, etc.
  • Community Imagine, you can feel like a member of our community, having a chance to attend meetups like and conferences as a participant, or as a speaker - it's up to you!
