Big Data Engineer (Spark & Hadoop)

We're looking for Big Data Engineer with Spark and Hadoop who will be working on an external project in the fintech area. But what’s more important is that you will still be an integral part of the Scalac team and work with the best specialists! 

As a Big Data Engineer, you will:

• Work on an external project and develop an application that is based on the Hadoop platform.
• Work with an international team of specialists. 
• Design and implement database systems. 
• Implement business logic based on the established requirements.
• Ensure the high quality of the delivered software code. 
• Independently make decisions, even in high-risk situations. 

Must-haves in the technology stack: 

• At least 3 years of experience with Scala. 
• Excellent understanding of Hadoop and Spark. 
• Familiarity with version control and CI/CD tools.
• Knowledge of Linux Shell Scripting, SQL.

Important skills:

• Good programming and testing practices. 
• Excellent communication skills, so you can communicate well with the technical team and our clients.
• English at an advanced level, as we work in an international team.
• A proactive approach, a can-do attitude, a growth mindset, problem-solving skills, and being a real team player. 
• Independence in your tasks and decisions while keeping the rest of the team in mind.
