About Us:

In today’s software-centric economy, speed is everything. Before Sauce, testing took too long, it was tedious, expensive to maintain and placed focus only on monotonous infrastructure issues. With Sauce, developers are free to innovate and accelerate their software development cycles, improve quality, deploy with confidence and reduce costs. Our automated testing cloud allows our customers the ability to deliver a flawless digital experience to their customers by ensuring the web and mobile applications people use every day work on any browser or device. We call that automated testing, but you’ll probably just call it awesome!

The Role:

Sauce Labs is looking for an experienced Product Visual Designer to join our team to elevate and maintain a high quality UI across all our product capabilities. Our customers are some of the world’s most well-known brands, creating software and services for millions of users. Our users are skilled software professionals who are looking for that beloved tool that helps them excel at what they do best: make reliable, world-class applications.

In this role, you will be part of multiple product teams focused on distinct capabilities as well as broad, cross-product initiatives. • Evolve our visual vocabulary including: iconography, table design, messaging, data visualizations, and basic interaction elements.
  • Stay up-to-date on and utilize best practices in software product design.
  • Develop and promote your own informed ideas for improving our design system, style guide and working process.

Job Requirements:

  • 4+ years experience in UI/Product Visual Design on real, shipped products
  • Degree in Graphic design, UI/Visual Design, or related

  • A high level of comfort working with developers in the presentation layer (HTML, CSS).
  • Links to one or more portfolio projects
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Google Docs (or similar tools)
  • Experience maintaining existing UI’s that were designed by someone else
  • Familiarity with the Agile product design process

Candidates must provide a link to a portfolio and be prepared to present a case study that shows their process, including rough designs and any other steps (wrong turns and course corrections are our favorites) along the way.

Nice To Haves:

  • Experience designing for the developer toolchain
  • Experience doing user research
  • Experience doing product growth design
  • A passion for making tools that help makers improve their craft
  • Experienced in UX design activities such as wireframes and story mapping.

  • Experience with data visualization
  • Illustration
