We’re looking for a Software Engineer passionate about gadgets, IoT and smart devices, who’ll be mainly responsible for the development of new devices’ integrations for the SmartThings platform. You may be the one who makes things a little more connected and a lot smarter.
Role and Responsibilities
- The integration of IoT devices with the “SmartThings” ecosystem
- Building innovative features for smart homes
- Maintaining existing solutions and fixing reported issues
- Work with testing and other cross-functional teams to provide technical solutions for desired user experiences
Technologies in use
- Java, C, Lua
- Communication protocols: ZigBee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Thread, Matter
- RESTful HTTP, Direct Socket Protocols (like HTTP or UDP)
- GitHub, Jira, Confluence
- Sumo Logic
Skills and Qualifications
- Passionate about gadgets, IoT, and smart devices
- 2 years of software development experience using Java, C or Lua and willingness to learn new things
- Independent working but within a small team of highly talented and quality-focused engineers
- Ability to write clean and high quality code
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Willingness to work with people from different cultures
- Communicative level of English and understand of Polish
Nice to have
- Frontend technologies knowledge
- Knowledge of design patterns
- Python
- The basics of electrical engineering
