We’re looking for a Software Engineer passionate not only about software development but about gadgets, IoT and smart devices as well, who’ll be mainly responsible for the development of very useful tools for the SmartThings platform. You may be the one who makes things a little more connected and a lot smarter.
Role and Responsibilities
- Building innovative tools for SmartThings ecosystem
- Maintaining existing solutions and fixing reported issues
- Work with testing and other cross-functional teams to provide technical solutions for desired user experiences
Technologies in use
- Programming language: Java (Spring)
- Databases: PostgreSQL, Dynamo DB
- AWS stack
- GitHub, Jira, Confluence
- Sumo Logic
Skills and Qualifications
- At least 4 years of Java software development (including Spring framework) experience and a willingness to learn new technologies
- Independent working but within a small team of highly talented and quality-focused engineers
- Backend resources’ management and controlling
- Ability to write clean and high quality code
- Passionate about gadgets, IoT, and smart devices
- Good English - communication level
Nice to have
- Knowledge of design patterns
- Python
- Linux Shell
- Some experience with React
