About our Team

You can either become a member of the very uniquely positioned project team working with almost all data collected within Samsung, or join a group of data scientist working on constant improvement of content and behavior recommendations across Samsung eco-system. We extract knowledge on users’ preferences and customers’ behavior and use it to provide them with personalized insights and help Samsung to better understand them. You will get a chance to influence future business decisions with the results of your analyses and solution prototypes.

Role and Responsibilities

• Exploration and pre-processing of various data types from multiple devices, users, and/or services
• Analyzing data sets to discover trends and patterns that can be translated into business insights
• Using Machine Learning/Deep Learning for modelling target variables oriented on user profile based on data, context, and/or domain knowledge
• Market sensing for new research areas, checking feasibility and building prototypes
• Contribution to incubation of new product features in order to improve user experience and well-being

Skills and Qualifications

• Programming skills in Python
• Prior experience related to data processing for Data Science/Machine Learning
• Interest in Data Science and Machine Learning modelling (including Deep Learning)
• Command of English in speech and writing allowing free communication
• Deep desire to learn and research

Nice to have

• Experience with statistical analysis and data visualization
• Interest in Large Language Models and recent advances in Generative AI
• Experience with data cleaning and parsing, SQL queries for data acquisition, integration and manipulation
• Programming skills for Machine Learning/Deep Learning development with Python, including experience in Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch (preferred) or TensorFlow
• Knowledge of Big Data technologies such as PySpark, AWS (EMR), BigQuery, Superset, Snowflake
• Final-year of study in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related fields
• Interest in any of domains: mobile health, recommendation systems, user profiling, application development
