The Cloud Center of Excellence team is being built now in Krakow and Southlake offices. CCoE is working closely with other operations and architecture teams across the enterprise. We are seeking an experienced and driven world-class Solution Architect, with wide Sabre Systems experience to join our Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) team to help drive cloud transformation. The objective of the role is to drive technical solutioning of existing Sabre products into the Innovation Lab VPC on Amazon AWS.
- In this role, the AWS Architect will be responsible for designing, building, and improving cloud environments on Amazon Web Services.
- Coordinate adoption of technology standards related to runtime infrastructure
- Drive operational design for runtime, especially the integration of software with hardware infrastructure
- Formulate and drive best practices around runtime design
- Facilitate design reviews of all products and services to ensure they are operable
- Assist with strategic planning and road-mapping for hosting infrastructure
- Lead efforts to conduct risk management assessment early to predict and prevent runtime defects while also handling issue management for defects that were not predicted
- Participate in cross-company technology initiatives
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of design experience with medium to large-scale Linux production environments, preferably as part of an online service provider environment
- 2+ years hands on experience with designing solutions in Cloud environments, Amazon AWS preferable
- 1+ years infrastructure automation using tools such as CloudFormation, Ansible
- Demonstrated proficiency in scripting languages (Ruby, Python or other)
- Experience with deployment pipeline tools (Jenkins, Git)
- Basic understanding of load balancing, Linux/UNIX-related network services, TCP/IP networking, CDNs
- Knowledge in the configuration and maintenance of common applications such as Apache, Tomcat, Nginx, Memcache, Squid, LDAP NFS, DHCP, DNS, and SNMP
- Excellent verbal and written communicator
- Experience with Service Now development (Javascript)
- Iterative software development fundamentals are under your belt, including possibly experience with SCRUM, Agile or other iterative approaches.
- AWS Solutions Architect – Associate and Professional Certifications desirable
