About us:
S2Innovation is an IT start-up company created in December 2017. Since the beginning we are providing software services for the most prominent science laboratories in Europe like European Synchrotron Radiation Facility in France, MAX IV Laboratory in Sweden or synchrotron SOLARIS in Poland. We are specialized in controls systems for accelerators, but this is only part of our capabilities. Since March 2019, our shareholder is CosyLab from Slovenia, a global leader in the field of control systems for scientific and medical projects.
Currently, we're looking for an excellent senior Java developer that would work with our partner company on software for proton therapy control system. Proton therapy is a type of external beam radiotherapy that uses ionizing radiation in which medical personnel use a particle accelerator to target a tumour with a beam of protons.
As our employee, you will:
- learn how the medical software development looks like,
- be responsible for programming parts of the control system of the accelerator in cooperation with other team members,
- participate in different projects of S2Innovation.
We are looking for a candidate who:
- has 3-5 years of work experience as a Java developer,
- is a problem-solving person and likes to work on state of the art projects,
- can go to work to Lubljana (Slovenia) for 1-2 months at the beginning of the project,
- speaks English (minimum C1 level)
- has good communications skills
Working experience with JavaFX is welcome.
