Senior IT Security Support Engineer

Responsibilities
- As a Senior IT Security Support Engineer you will be a technical contact person for our customers in the area of network & security
- You will manage, analyze and troubleshoot complex network and firewall environments (NOC/SOC) as well as provide support of our customers in case of queries and problems (2nd level support)
- Part of your job will be administration and operation of security solutions within the scope of our Professional Services and if needed escalation of incidents to 3rd level or vendor support
- Architect and continuously improve security technology stack, process and procedures, support model and cross-function interactions utilizing automation where possible
- An interesting part of your job will be development of concepts to optimize 2nd level support
- You will have opportunity to coach and train of the 1st level to take over control activities

Qualifications
- Successfully completed university degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or comparable courses and several years of professional experience
- Very good network knowledge in the area of network security( LAN / WAN / WLAN ), routing, switching, VPN, WLAN, DHCP, DNS and network analysis tools (e.g. Wireshark)
- You have experience with Next Generation Firewall systems ideally Checkpoint and Fortinet and first experiences in the area of cloud solutions and SDN
- You possess very good Linux knowledge and experience in at least one script or programming language as well as good understanding of processes and structured way of working (e.g. ITIL)
- You are able to develop solutions to problems in dialog with manufacturers, application managers and customers
- You are a strong team player with excellent communication skills. Very good spoken and written English is a must, German will be a nice to have
