Senior Software Developer - Cloud Native / Java

Responsibilities

• Together with our international team, you will develop using modern open source frameworks and tools such as J2E, microservices, Docker, SQL, Kubernetes, Maven and reverse proxy technologies (e.g. Apache, Nginx)

• You design new innovative features in collaboration with product owners, business analysts and other stakeholders and are responsible for their implementation 

• In our agile development teams, you act as a mentor for our junior Java developers 

• You actively support the implementation and further development of standards 

• You are responsible for the creation of technical concepts and documentation

Qualifications

• Successfully completed studies in (business) computer science, mathematics, physics or a similar qualification 

• You have at least 3 years of professional experience as a Java developer 

• Experience working with development environments such as Maven, Git/Subversion and Jenkins 

• You are familiar with concepts such as DevOps, continuous delivery, clean code, TDD and agile methods 

• You are characterized by a very analytical and solution-oriented way of thinking in combination with strong leadership qualities 

• Technology: Java, Microprofile, Docker, Kubernetes, Postgresql, Kafka, Jmeter, Rest Services, Quarkus, Openshift as a plus

• Platform and Hosting: AWS -> EKS, RDS, MSK, Redis, EC2, Secret Manager 

• OS: Linux any distro 

• Methodology: Agile development 

• Project management tools: Jira, Confluence 

• Very good communication skills English round off your profile - German is a plus, but not mandatory

• You're open to a hybrid way of working with weekly visits in our Katowice office.
