Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator

Responsibilities

• Independent installation, configuration, and implementation of MSSQL databases and application servers 
• Support and advise our customers in the optimization and automation of maintenance, release, and rollout processes
• You are responsible for the further development and optimization of our servers and databases to ensure a powerful and stable IT application
• You enjoy performing server administrations

Qualifications

• We are looking forward to your successfully completed studies in computer science, mathematics, physics or comparable technical course of study and years of professional experience
• Proven experience as a Microsoft SQL Server DBA, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance of MSSQL Server databases 2016-2019 or newer versions as well as experience with IaaS, DBaaS, PaaS, VLAN, VPN or Subnet as well as network technologies and cloud solutions would be a plus.
• Hands-on experience in SQL/T-SQL scripting, including DB schema design and query tuning.
• Proficiency in SQL Server High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR) options - Always On, Failover Clusters, DB mirroring, Log Shipping, and replication and knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Reporting Services (SSRS), Analysis Services (SSAS).
• Familiarity with Windows based operating systems, including PowerShell scripting and automation. As well as experience with backup and recovery strategies (RTO/RPO, MAA). Microsoft Certification (Data Management, Azure DBA associate) would be an additional asset.
• Very good communication skills in English
• You're open to a hybrid way of working with weekly visits in our Katowice office.
