Job description
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer in the Research team, a part of Refinitiv Technology group.
YOU AND YOUR TEAM
Within this role you’ll have an opportunity to work with huge databases 5TB+ and migrate them to the cloud.
You’ll introduce patches and fixes to existing MSSQL procedures and functions.
Member of the database team also design data access models for applications and create their own scripts to manage and deploy code.

Your business title will be Software Engineer or Senior Software Engineer depending on your experience and expertise.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING?
- 1+ year professional database development experience (ideally MSSQL2008-2012)
Modeling/Design
Optimization/Query tuning
Troubleshooting
Optimization/Query tuning
Troubleshooting
- Knowledge of other database systems (MySQL, HBase, ElasticSearch, DynamoDB)
WHAT'S THE ADVANTAGE?
- Experience with C#(.net core) and/or java8 + ORM
- Experience with AWS
- Practical knowledge of some scripting language (PowerShell, Jscript, Python, Bash)
- Experience with GIT
- Very good English
