Our Development Team team focuses on managing the design and implementation of technology infrastructure within PwC, developing and enhancing internal applications, and providing technology tools that help create a competitive advantage for PwC to drive strategic business growth.

The Cross-platform Integration Developer position is a part of the Global IT organization and is responsible for ongoing development and support specific to PwC’s Cross-platform implementation.

The role 
  • Development of integrations between PwC systems (custom and market SaaS & PaaS solutions - e.g. Workday, Salesforce, Oracle, SAP, etc.)
  • Participation in the design phase for new solutions
  • Analyzing impact of functional changes on existing integrations
  • Creating appropriate system support documentation and knowledge articles
  • Contributing to change management process, including identification and validation of functional requirements

Area of responsibility
  • Take ownership of sprint Product Backlog Items
  • Design solutions per provided acceptance criteria
  • Develop, test and deliver your code in sprints
  • Create unit tests for your classes
  • Document your solution at both technical and business levels
  • Peer review teammates' code
  • Participate in development meetings with the team, system owners, PwC stakeholders and business representatives
  • Cooperate with the PwC Test Team for test cases development and knowledge transfer
  • Perform impact analysis and recommend solutions for Production detected issues
  • Investigate and analyze complex technical incidents received from L2 support and identify if root cause is data, configuration, or technical issue
  • Participate in ticket escalation meetings with L3 support to discuss investigation and solution strategies

Candidate profile
  • At least a Bachelor, or Engineer degree in Technology or a related field, OR
  • Two years development experience on open-source, or commercial Java projects, OR BOTH
  • Evidence of own coding projects in any area a nice to have
  • Comfortable with Java 8+
  • Familiar with Spring (boot, core, web, data; others nice to have), relational databases, GIT, Maven, JUnit, UML
  • Aware of Hibernate, Jackson, Reactor, graph databases, message queueing
  • Comfortable with encapsulation, abstraction, inheritance and polymorphism, and their practical uses in Object-oriented Programming
  • Familiar with OOP design patterns & clean code standards
  • Must be willing to solo tackle development tasks at appropriate skill level (team ready to help if blocked)
  • Must be able to explain problem analysis thought process and solution details at internal meetings
  • Must have a sense of humor (or be able to fake it)
  • Able to estimate task time-to-complete with reasonably realistic outcomes
  • Able to play well with others within a large multinational organization (e.g. time zone differences, cultural diversity, offshore colleagues, etc.)
  • Always looking to learn new things, improve programming abilities and soft skills
