We are looking for a candidate to join our Group Internal Audit („GIA”) team of International Personal Finance Group („IPF Group”) in a permanent position to enhance our auditing and data mining capabilities. We are interested in speaking to ambitious individuals who can help advance the use of Internal Audit automation tools within GIA and who can work comfortably across geographies within the IPF Group. The role will be located in Warsaw.
The successful candidate would have 2+ years of experience in internal or external audit and deep technical and hands-on experience of using a data analytics tool (for instance ACL, IDEA), to deliver analytics for either internal or external audit. Advanced and practical knowledge of SQL and Excel and of relational databases is a must. Moderate to good knowledge of a complimentary analytics language or software package (R, or Python) and of data governance frameworks (for instance DAMA) is also required. Experience in financial services / regulated entities and performing analytics in line with expected regulations will be a plus. An internal audit / data management / IT internal audit / risk management certification would be a significant asset.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the delivery of Internal Audit Plans and the GIA Strategy by implementing data analytics component.
- Scope, plan and deliver data analytics on a wide variety of transactional and IT audits. Apply GIA internal audit methodology to meet the audit engagement objectives to agreed timescales.
- Identify and analyse data sets to ensure the most relevant data is available in the right quality for audits and analysis.
- Build continuous auditing routines to ensure automatization of testing as much as possible.
- Propose improvements to GIA internal audit methodology regarding data analytics.
- Build and maintain regular and effective business relationships with key stakeholders to maintain knowledge of ongoing data initiatives and capabilities.
- Actively maintain a good understanding of the business strategy and external environment, including regulatory requirements and data governance frameworks (for instance DAMA).
- Advise, educate and train other members of the GIA team to upskill the team on data analytics capabilities.
- Taking personal accountability for results delivered in areas of responsibility.
- Organise and express ideas clearly and deliver verbal and written information in a structured manner.
- Maintain the highest technical and professional standards.
Skills and Experience:
- Strong ethical skills and a high level of integrity.
- A Degree in maths, information systems, computer science, statistics, econometrics, or another related field.
- Prior experience in performing data analytics on large data sets and feeding back findings to relevant stakeholders.
- 2+ years of experience in internal or external audit.
- Deep technical and hands-on experience of using a data analytics tool to deliver analytics for either internal or external Audit.
- Advanced and practical knowledge of SQL and Excel and relational databases is a must.
- Moderate to good knowledge of a complimentary analytics language or software package (R, or Python).
- Logical and strong critical thinking mindset combined with analytical thinking.
- Ability to articulate the processes, logic used, and outcomes discovered and their impact to reach meaningful conclusions.
- Ability to quickly understand business needs and strategic direction to best approach data analysis.
- Fluent in verbal and written business English (C1) and Polish.
- Internal audit / IT internal audit / risk management certification would be a significant asset.
- Awareness of the Internal Auditing Standards, principles, and practices.
- Understanding the principles of the identification, assessment & management of risk.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, independence, and objectivity.
