ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Together with our client we are looking for a Senior BI Consultant whose purpose is to help business managers and other specialists in data-driven decision support. The main accountability is to enable business to become data-driven.
Together with our client we are looking for a Senior BI Consultant whose purpose is to help business managers and other specialists in data-driven decision support. The main accountability is to enable business to become data-driven.
As a part of the team, you will be an important player in the conceptual and architectural BI setup.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ongoing dialogue with end-users about needs for data-based knowledge, data, analysis, and reports
- Direct cooperation with Data Owners about their data
- Developing Power BI reports and analyzing data
- Keeping existing reports up to date and implementing changes
- Creating ETL processes
- Creating data models in SQL DB & PowerBI
- Gathering business requirements, ordering firewall accesses, challenging the business needs
- Ensuring KPIs are measured correctly, shown intuitively and that data quality is transparent
REQUIREMENTS:
- Advanced practical knowledge of MS SQL, SSIS
- Good knowledge of Tabular models (incl. performance tuning)
- Extensive knowledge of PowerBI and a desire to continuously be updated in the new features
- Extensive knowledge of DWH principles
- Know how to create self-service friendly data models
- Knowledge of data set orchestration in PowerBI
- Nice to have: Experience working with different types of ingestion sources: e.g. Navision, SharePoint lists, and Access tables
