ROLE DESCRIPTION:

Together with our client we are looking for a Senior BI Consultant whose purpose is to help business managers and other specialists in data-driven decision support. The main accountability is to enable business to become data-driven.

As a part of the team, you will be an important player in the conceptual and architectural BI setup.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ongoing dialogue with end-users about needs for data-based knowledge, data, analysis, and reports
Direct cooperation with Data Owners about their data
Developing Power BI reports and analyzing data
Keeping existing reports up to date and implementing changes
Creating ETL processes
Creating data models in SQL DB & PowerBI
Gathering business requirements, ordering firewall accesses, challenging the business needs
Ensuring KPIs are measured correctly, shown intuitively and that data quality is transparent

REQUIREMENTS:

Advanced practical knowledge of MS SQL, SSIS
Good knowledge of Tabular models (incl. performance tuning)
Extensive knowledge of PowerBI and a desire to continuously be updated in the new features
Extensive knowledge of DWH principles
Know how to create self-service friendly data models
Knowledge of data set orchestration in PowerBI
Nice to have: Experience working with different types of ingestion sources: e.g. Navision, SharePoint lists, and Access tables
