Details: The client, a Danish biotechnology company, is looking for a Python Developer for a Bioinformatics Systems and Tools team that supports a research part of the company. The client does ad-hoc infrastructure, custom in-house application development and deployment of external applications. The client is working in a heavily agile way with weekly rolling planning and monthly/bimonthly outlook on activities.

Project description: An in-house built platform for providing search and analysis on DNA, Protein and genomes (representing and cross referencing bioinformatics databases). The platform is implemented on Linux, supported by Apache Solr, Apache HBase and Apache Hadoop and implemented in Python. Users primarily interact with the platform via a React-based frontend, and a Python library for programmatic access.
Location: ProData Office, Domaniewska 39A, Warsaw
Business trips: Onboarding in Denmark at the beginning of cooperation (2 weeks) and then occasional business trips
Remote work: Occasionally
Project language: English/Polish
Team consists of Polish and Danish developers
Project length: 24 months + extensions
Start: Flexible

Remuneration: Up to 150 PLN/H + VAT depending on experience

Proficiency in Linux
Good oral and written English communication skills
Familiarity with: Linux (Ubuntu), Python, Perl, PostgreSQL, React.JS, GraphQL, TypeScript, Django, RabbitMQ, Nagios, Kerberos/JWT, SolR-cloud/Elastic search, Kubernetes, Docker, Gitlab, Jenkins
