Job description
PROJECT INFORMATION:
- Industry: Finance / Banking
- Details: The goal for the program is to deliver a new mortgage lending platform. The solution will allow the client to strengthen its business partnerships and present them as a strong opponent to the other players in the market. It is done in a cooperation with 3 data centers. The client will provide a backend (services) layer and the data centers will implement the services into solutions provided to banks. It is one of the biggest IT initiatives in the Danish finance sector of the last years and it will be used by most of the Danish banks and millions of customers.
- Location: Client’s office in Warsaw Financial Centre, Emilii Plater 53
- Business trips: Once every three months
- Remote work: Occasionally
- Project language: English / Polish
- Team consists of Polish and Danish developers
- Project length: 12 months + extensions (long-term cooperation)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, model and code solutions that fit the problem domain
- Take responsibility for all development work and ownership of quality control
- Cooperate with other developers, testers, Scrum Master and Product Owner
- Stay up to date with the latest technologies and teach other developers how to incorporate new trends
- Meet tight deadlines with a cool head
- Attend meetings with clients and peers
REQUIREMENTS:
- Min. 4+ years of experience in a similar role
- Broad and extensive knowledge of the software development process
- Strong knowledge of Java 8, JEE and REST APIs
- Familiarity with application servers: Weblogic and Wildfly
- Experience with microservices
- Knowledge about testing tools and techniques: unit testing, BDD, Cucumber
- Experience with database creation, querying and query optimization with focus on Oracle DB and DB2
- GIT proficiency
- Experience in working in an Agile setup, in a cross functional team
- Good oral and written English communication skills
- At least Bachelor's Degree
