Innovative technology, design, engineering, and structural system manufacturer – Prescient Co. is looking for a motivated individual to work with our patented technology (see our patents here) as a Lead DevOps Engineer. You will be working with our unique integrated design and construction platform consisting of proprietary Autodesk Revit based design software and a cold rolled panelized framing system as well as advanced data warehouses and full stack web technology platforms.
The Prescient® Solution is a patented, innovative, new design and construction platform for living environments including apartments, student and military dormitories, hotels, senior living communities, condominiums, single-family homes. It can also be applied in office and retail design and construction. Prescient® employs the Unified Truss Construction System (UTCS™), a patented light gauge and cold rolled steel structural system and framing technology capable of going to 16 stories.

Lead DevOps Engineer
What will be your main duties?
- Leading the DevOps team
- Assigns and monitors work of technical personnel, ensuring that application development and deployment is supported in the best possible way, and implements quality control and review systems throughout the development and deployment processes
- Displays technical leadership and oversight of deployment planning, system integration, delivery, operations, and sustainability of technical solutions
- Supporting software development processes by automating workflows and integrating various tools
- Work with Scrum Teams to design and implement a Common CI/CD pipeline
- Manage GIT repositories across environments, software products and branching models
- Possesses expert technical understanding of the intersection of development and operations (DevOps), monitoring and management tools, and deployment processes and tools
- Possesses high level understanding in the areas of web application programming, content management systems, API, databases, and system design
- Design, implement and manage infrastructure dedicated to host proprietary software systems
- (Planning phase): work closely with Architects (IT/Enterprise/Solution/Data) to define and design IT infrastructure architecture for existing and new proprietary systems
- (Implementation phase): manage and coordinate Engineers (Infrastructure/Cloud/Security/Database) to build defined IT infrastructure (on-prem and in-cloud) ensuring appropriate computing power, storage, networking, security, load balancing, high availability etc.
- (Evolution phase): work closely with Software Development, QA and Release Management to build and maintain logical infrastructure environments (DEV/QA/ST/PROD) allowing proprietary systems to evolve according to Agile best practices (CD/CI)
- (Maintenance phase): manage and coordinate Engineers (Infrastructure/Cloud/Security/Database) to meet IT infrastructure availability (SLA) and work closely with Product Support to address escalated end-user issues
What are we looking for?
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipeline across multiple types of software applications and infrastructure
- Experience implementing continuous monitoring and continuous testing standards
- Demonstrated ability in people management, strategic planning, risk management, change management, and project management
- Experience in DevOps, IT, or Enterprise Operations
- BS/BA in Computer Science preferred
- Project Management experience; Agile, Scrum, Kanban, etc.
- Linux and Windows Server Administration/System Management/Automation
- Virtualization and Container technologies; VMWare, OpenStack, Docker
- Jenkins, CI & Build & Deploy technologies
- Strong understanding of networking and infrastructure architecture
