Job description
Job responsibilities:
Project management:
- completes project administration tasks
- completes project management tasks:
- managing parts of backlog and sprint planning
- conducting project team meetings
- support collaboration within the internal project team [developers, admins]
- monitoring project parameters [standing, budget, etc.]
- participates in meetings with the customer technical teams (training, handovers, requirements gathering, etc.)
- scope out a project based on business requirements and achievable benefits,
- participate in the envision and planning of the project, in many cases creates FDD, TDD, HLD, Project Plan
- estimates the effort required to deliver a project based on a statement of work
- leads the delivery team and is responsible for delivery within the agreed hours budget
- acts as Technical Lead leads technology decisions, facilitate and articulate alternatives
- supervises the technical quality of delivery
- resolves delivery issues in all phases of the project
- communicates efficiently potential risks, blockers to respective project owners and customer
- leads meetings with the customer technical teams (training, handovers, requirements gathering, etc.)
- orchestrating collaboration within the project team [incl. customer IT/ business]
- works on-site to ensure proper solution design and deployment
Completes tasks in the project:
- completes tasks and sets priorities without or with minimal supervision
- estimates the effort required to complete their own work and work of team members
- supervises breaking down project scope into smaller items (Features > PBIs)
- prepares input for project documentation (Architecture and Design, Vision and Scope documents)
- performs and/or supervises solution handover
- performs and/or supervises project UAT, training/knowledge session
Sales support:
- breaks down business requirements into the technical specification
- prepares input for offers (SOW, WBS)
- delivers pre-sales presentations and workshops
Requirements:
Technical:
- Deep understanding of Modern Data Warehousing (MDW) concepts and architectures especially utilizing Azure Data Services (see below; for clarifying MDW approach see this link)
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Data stack (Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Azure Analysis Services, Azure DevOps) - must
- Experience with On-Premise Microsoft BI stack technologies like SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS - optional
- Good knowledge of own technical area proven by MCP certification and/or past project experience [reference: Senior/Principal TM]
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues
Soft:
- Good presentation and communication skills
- Fluent English
- Good people management skills [e.g orchestrating teamwork]
- Ability to formulate thoughts in written form (documentation, diagrams) in a concise and clear manner for the project team
Project:
- Delivered approx. 8 000 project hours, a track record of approx. 1-3 big and/or 5-8 medium-sized projects, which typically translates into min. 4-6 years of professional experience, preferably of which approx. 2 years of experience in leading and scoping projects (e.g. as a tech-lead)
- Good execution skills, goal-orientated
- Scrum Master [PSM I certified]
