    As Operational Excellence Coordinator, this role will work in Operational Excellence as part of Global Infrastructure’s Performance and Resolution team. Performance and Resolution members provide insight into process and will facilitate improvement in areas of situational awareness, procedure, design, and resilience. The vision of this team is to improve pillars of Operational Excellence through the prevention of recurring deviations, detection of operational anomalies, and correction of critical events.


    To successfully perform this role the applicant must be able to facilitate direction in line with strategic organizational goals, analyze information, adapt communication to different situations and audiences, have good oral and written communication skills, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with functional teams to ensure processes align with Global Infrastructure objectives and are effectively integrated into operation.
    • Conduct regular process reviews and assessments to identify areas for improvement and suggest and facilitate best practice conversations with technology teams.
    • Develop documentation, including policies, procedures and workflows.
    • Work with leadership to analyze and interpret metrics that identify trends and issues, as well as opportunities for improvement.
    • Provide training to staff to ensure consistent and effective implementation of practices and procedure.
    • Facilitate process improvement initiatives and projects, using DevOps and the Problem Identification and Control process.
    • Develop / Manage audit of GIS staff PPG managed telephone number catalog ensuring contact card information is available.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the IT organization.


    Change Management tasks:

    • Host Change scrutineering discussion and Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings.
    • Prepare and broadcast weekly Change Approval Board (CAB) summaries.
    • Track and audit change workflow and authorizations.
    • Compile Monthly Maintenance Window (MMW) itinerary, including:

    o Master server list

    o MMW planned sequence list

    • Prepare and broadcast Monthly Maintenance Window (MMW) summary.
    • Monitor and support change owners through Monthly Maintenance Window activities (third Sunday of each month).
    • Post-implementation change audit and reviews.


    Activate and facilitate crisis response and procedure where needed, including:

    • Creation of crisis room as a single point of collaboration.
    • Identification and coordination of resources and support.
    • Manage transition of resources and support where necessary.
    • Appropriate and effective note taking and communications.


    Develop / Manage an Operations calendar and reports containing:

    • Blackout dates.
    • Planned Maintenances.
    • Non-GIS maintenances and business critical periods.
    • Change approval board managed changes.
    • Relevant events for planning purposes.
    • Change approval board participation.
