Job description
You are a perfect candidate if you have:
- Solid understanding of data mapping, cleansing, transformation, and data reconciliation processes
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Deep understanding of database fundamentals
- Excellent data modeling skills
- Very good knowledge of SQL
- Proficient with at least one ETL tool
- Ability to plan, execute and document data migration process according to project requirements
- Ability to document and troubleshoot problems
- Experience in working with large datasets
- Effective communication in English
A big plus if you have one or more from the list below:
- Experience in working with cloud-focused architectures
- Very good understanding of Salesforce Platform
- Salesforce query performance tuning skills
- Solid understanding of what data governance is, data warehousing, and business intelligence concepts
- Ability to code and automate basic tasks
- Very good knowledge of PostgreSQL
- Experience working with Talend or Mulesoft
- Ability to write scripts in any of Node.js/Java/PHP/Python etc in order to extract data from different systems through the APIs
Responsibilities
As a data migration expert you will be responsible for developing end-to-end migration solutions using designated tools, for example Talend - an open source platform dedicated to the data integration, data management, data quality, enterprise application integration and Big Data. In a typical scenario the data is retrieved from the legacy system (Salesforce or no-Salesforce), cleaned/transformed (if needed) and loaded into Salesforce destination system.
The role often requires active participation in planning, analysis and ensuring that data migration related best practices are applied where necessary.
You will be tasked with data cleansing, deduplication and enrichment operations. High quality documentation skills will certainly come in handy.
