Job description
What we're looking for
We are looking for a self-motivated creative Android engineer to help lead our Android mobile development efforts. You will work closely with our current mobile team as well as Product and Design.
Responsibilities
You will be working collaboratively with product and design to develop, test, and deliver high quality code for our user-facing Android app. You will also help on proposing technology and architectural choices for best practices in development. As a core member of our engineering team, you will help innovate and push Pie VAT’s mobile experience on Android.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Android development (Kotlin) / related mobile development experience
- Experience with REST and integration of 3rd party libraries
- Strong competency architecting and developing real-world solutions in iOS and/or Android frameworks for the App Store
- Understanding of UI design, usability, and accessibility practices - build intuitive features to improve the experience for mobile users
- Commitment for engineering practices (ex. as automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD) that ensure quality and fast paced releases
Bonus (Good to have)
- Interest and experience in tourism / retail / fintech / payments
- Experience in mobile advertising / marketing
