Role Description:
As a Software Engineer in Test at PAYBACK, you can use your in-depth software engineering know-how to set the foundations for lean testing with fast feedback on all testing levels. Here, you move in a technologically exciting, international enterprise environment with Continuous Delivery. A clean code mentality is just as natural as the handling of collaborative testing methods such as Specification by Example. Your independent working method goes hand in hand with the implementation of a sustainable test strategy, together with the team and our test architects.
Area of responsibilities:
- Developing basic concepts and strategies for testing and roll-out into the project
- Testing our software products automated and manual
- Maintaining, enhance and improve our automated test suites
- Development of reusable test modules and test libraries
- Methodological guideline and pattern development: tool-specific, tool-independent
- Further development of our frameworks and tools and support of their operational use in the project
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- 5+ years professional experience in quality assurance area
- Agile Mindset / Clean Coder
- Working self-organized and taking ownership
- Team Player with very good communication skills and very good English (written/spoken), German optional but welcome
- Software Engineering Skills & Tools: Java SE > 1.6, Java EE optional, Eclipse or IntelliJ, Maven or Gradle, Jenkins or Judson, SVN or GIT
- Test Engineering Skills & Tools: Hands-on experience with Unit, Component, System Testing; SoapUI, Scripting (Python or Groovy, Bash or Perl), JUnit, Mockito, Selenium
