Job description

At Packhelp we are rethinking what creating custom-branded packaging should be. We're now serving more than 15000 customers from 30 countries. We make the process of designing and ordering packaging as smooth and seamless as possible. With just 30 pieces as a minimum quantity, we've enabled thousands of customers to order their very own packaging without ruining their budgets. Our mission is to become the best place to order packaging online. With hundreds of new ideas, lots of experience, a range of new products and a growing customer base, we are scaling our Product Team.

We're now looking for Data Scientist to support our data-driven decision-making in the Product Team. At Packhelp we've made huge investment into analytics very early on. We're pulling data from a variety of sources: user behaviour, marketing campaigns, CRM, analytics, even from designs created by our customers. As a Data Scientist, you'd be helping our squads make right decisions through data insights, reporting and various forms of analysis. You'll be designing new ways of collecting information and looking into good amount of historical data to discover with new insights. We're currently researching ways in which we could utilise Machine Learning to help our teams work more efficiently with customers.

You'll be responsible for
  • Supporting our product teams in data-driven decision-making
  • Preparing analyses, reports, insights
  • Working on multiple projects such as acquisition, user segmentation, user engagement, user life-time, cohorts, funnels and campaigns efficiency analyses
  • Finding gaps in data collection and working with our developers to fill these gaps
  • Highlighting mistakes in our data-related thinking
  • Picking right statistical models and technology
  • Leading our Machine Learning initiatives
  • Working through problems with inconsistencies in data across our tools
  • Pushing us to the next level in data-driven decision-making

We're searching for someone who
  • At least 2 years experience in data analysis
  • Has presentable background in statistical modelling and machine learning
  • Has knowledge of SQL or any tool allowing to retrieve data from SQL databases
  • Has knowledge and experience with one or more technologies such as Tableau, PowerBI, Amplitude, Google Analytics, Spotfire, Microsoft Excel, Periscope Data, Segment
  • Experience with R, Python, JavaScript will be a big plus
  • Has business-oriented mindset and understands how retention, cohorts, lifetime values, user acquisition is key to the growth of any business
  • Thrives navigating ambiguity, explores uncharted areas, doesn't give up when obstacles occur
  • Speaks and communicates well in English
