Senior System Administrator

What’s in store for you:

In this fully remote position, you’ll be developing complex products and working with an infrastructure processing petabytes of data. Expect challenges that will elevate your expertise, loads of ownership, the latest tech stack, and effective collaboration with a large team of engineering professionals.

Your day-to-day:

• Work on private cloud and remotely hosted infrastructure configuration, automation, and testing.
• Take care of scaling our infrastructure.
• Ensure zero downtime for different environments and projects.
• Ensure that high security and compliance standards are met.
• Ensure that critical infrastructure components or solution backups, disaster recovery, redundancy, and rollback plans exist.
• Ensure that infrastructure systems are monitored, audited, and alerting configured.
• Ensure systems are secure, compliant, and up-to-date with the latest patches and protocols.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure related issues and outages.
• Stay current with the latest infrastructure developments, and tooling available.

Your skills & experience:

• Strong understanding of Linux-based systems and servers.
• Hands-on experience with automation/configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, SaltStack).
• Proficiency in working with container systems (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
• Familiarity with databases, especially MySQL and Redis-like key-value databases.
• Strong ability to prioritize and focus on high-impact work.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with various Cloud providers.
• Background in maintaining custom object/block storage solutions.
• Experience with Kafka/Redpanda.
• Experience with RabbitMQ.
• Experience with HAProxy.
