We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Technical Leader/Engineering Manager to become an integral part of our startup and spearhead one of our product development teams. What will you do as Engineering Manager at Oxla?

• Technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to one of the software engineering teams building core engine of Oxla database.
• Fostering a collaborative and innovative development environment and facilitating skill development of your team.
• Collaborate with Head of Product, other technical managers, and teams to define product roadmap ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives and technological advancements.
• Overseeing of design of new features and management of the team’s backlog.
• Mapping internal hiring needs within the team and actively participating in the hiring process.
• Providing training and support in onboarding new members of the team.
• Actively taking part in customer-facing efforts to understand client needs, and broader business perspective and to align development priorities.

What is a must-have to do the job effectively?

• Experience in software development as an engineer (at least at senior)
• Experience working in product companies
• Team leadership skills backed by previous experience
• Easily communicate in English (at least B2 level)
• Familiarity of Linux
• Knowledge of C++ or other compiled languages
• Knowledge of algorithms
• Ability to design multi-module systems
• Understanding the importance of feedback, as well as open, professional, and kind communication
• Resilience, adaptability, and flexibility in dynamic environment
• Being able to take ownership, make decisions, and take upon challenges

What will be nice to have that you can bring to the table?

• Experience working with customers (internal or external)
• Familiarity of cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP
