About the role

You will be joining a technical team and will be reporting directly to the Lead Drupal/PHP Developer and working in a team of developers, designers, strategists and content specialists, to understand the project needs and requirements, translate these into new and improved web experience solutions, and collaborate with your teammates to bring these ideas to life.
You will have an interest and some experience building web applications using PHP technology. Ideally, you have further background in front-end development.
As we are an agency environment, you will be working on multiple projects with front-end and back-end developers, with possible maintenance work on legacy codebases. You will be expected to deliver to high standards and within your technical expertise and experience.

Key responsibilities:

  • Your key responsibility will be building and integrating Drupal 7/10 applications.
  • You will also work with existing projects in order to scale, maintain and improve their functionality.
  • You will be designing and implementing new features for Drupal projects, both standard and headless.
  • You will be working on the frontend side of projects implementing scss styles and themes.
  • Work with the development team to spread knowledge and develop resources.

You will need…

  • Knowledge of PHP 7 and object oriented programming.
  • Experience with Composer
  • Practical Git skills
  • An understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies
  • Willingness to follow performance and security related best practices
  • Good English and communication skills

Not strictly required but... it will be a plus if you have some of the following:

  • Drupal 7/10 knowledge, and experience in building custom Drupal modules
  • At least 1 year of agency / software house experience
  • Experience with CI/CD, specifically with GitLab
  • Proven experience of developing websites
  • Front-end skills, preferably with React or Vue
  • Experience in building and scaling RESTful APIs

We offer a structured training program, with an emphasis on Drupal and Acquia certification, and the ability to work with a wide range of tools in multiple areas of the technology stack.

The technical interview is your choice of: a PHP take-home task or a 30 minute live coding in PHP session.
